Default Defence Farming

Since the AoE unpdate i've been playing around with my skills to make a good griffon farming build. The aim was to ditch skills like symbol or wrath cause it just scares them off and makes it about a year before you start killing anything. Anyway this is what i've got:

Chaos Axe - Max Dmg
Sheild Armour - 16 (req 11 tactics) - not the best but i cant be botherd to look for a better one
Gladiators Armour - For the extra energy

------------------

Healing 11
Strength 9 (8+1)
Axe Mastery 8
Tactics 11 (9+2)

------------------

Cyclone Axe
Endure Pain
Benettis Defence
Gladiators Defence
Healing Breeze
Vigorous Spirit
Mending
Live Vicariously

1.

The basic idea is to start up both Mending and Live Vicariously before heding out as usual to pick up the griffons. Now becuse they wont follow as much if you keep running you have to go a bit slower. If you feel your getting low on health Throw Endure Pain on just as a top up.

2.

When your happy you've got everything following you throw off cyclone axe to bring up Bonettis. This way you get all the energy back from casting the enchantments, Endure Pain and Cyclone Axe.

3.

Just as Bonettis is about to wear off throw up Gladiators, this time your going to use the energy that bonettis gets you while still doing damage (in my case 27dmg per block at 75% chance) this defence dosnt go down when you use a skill like Bonettis so start casting Healing Breeze, Vigorous Spirit and maby Endure Pain if you need it. The important bit it to keep enough energy to throw out Cyclone Axe at the end to give enough adrenaline to cast Bonettis again.

Dont worry if you cant cast all three skills and still have enough energy to use Cyclone you only really need one of the healing spells at a time.

4.

Then just repeat steps 2 and 3 till their dead. Easy as pie.

Is there anyway i can improve it?

I guess getting a rune to boost Tactics might help with the damage from Gladiators since that already does the main damage.

For what it's worth, I think your build is unoriginal and that it kills slowly. Sorry.

Not even worth the time really.
When I started farming griffen a few months back I used:
Bonetti's
Cyclone Axe
Executioners Strike
Gladiator's Defence
Live Vigorously
Vigorous Spirit
Mending
Healing breeze

Axe 12+1+3
Tactics 8+1
Strengh 5+1
Healing 9

Its old and still works, only I dont like axes and I made myself a Hundred Blades farming build.

i'd rather have a build i made myself and look to improve it rather than just grab someone else's and get bored doing the same thing all the time. it's much better playing around with what works for me.

Sorry if I offended you, I'll try to be clearer. 99% of the griffon farming builds which are posted here are killing with either Gladiator's Defense or Shield of Judgement (and before the AoE nerf, you could add Balthazar's Aura and Zealot's Fire to the list). And almost all griffon warrior builds are using a monk secondary, an axe, bonetti for energy, cyclone for adrenaline and damage dealing, plus a few enchantments for healing (breeze, mending, and so on). If you designed this build yourself and if you didn't try to copy and improve previous builds, you've reinvented the wheel. If you did base this build on another farming build, you can find better options and you can still improve your build.

If you truly want to start an insightful thread, be original or be efficient. Be original and drop your monk secondary, make a W/E farmer, use a hammer or whatever. If you want to be efficient, develop a finely oiled killing machine, and post the fastest farming build, or at least something better than 90% of the griffon builds out there. Most experienced farmers have played with dozens of different variants of the W/Mo and Mo/W theme.

In short, if this build works well for you, then keep using it, and discard my opinion. But don't expect good feedback from the original post.
